Margarita Muñiz Academy has new reasons to celebrate. Our latest MCAS and accountability results place our students among the fastest-growing in Boston Public Schools, across multiple grade levels and subjects.
Our 10th graders tied for the highest growth in English of any school in Boston Public Schools.
In math, our 10th graders tied for the 5th highest growth in the district.
Our 8th graders posted the 6th highest growth in English Language Arts across BPS.
Muñiz Academy's accountability score rose by 9 points, the highest increase among all BPS secondary schools.
Growth measures how much progress students make from one year to the next, compared with students across the state who started from a similar place. Strong growth means our students are not just keeping pace. They are moving forward faster than their peers, and that is exactly what a dual-language education built on every student's strengths is designed to do.
These results belong to our students, who showed up and did the work, and to the teachers, staff, and families who supported them every step of the way. As we begin our 15th anniversary year, there is no better way to honor Margarita Muñiz's vision.
